ARC Scotland are well respected in the area of social care training, learning and development. Since 2004 we have designed and delivered training and learning programmes to support workers at all levels in the sector from managers to support workers.

Training to meet your requirements

We specialise in and are widely known for working with providers of services as opposed to simply selling training. We pay particular attention to identified needs and requirements and whilst some of our courses and programmes can be bought “off the shelf” most of our training is designed to be adapted to meet specific organisational or workrole requirements.

This is now more than ever the way most employers of social care workers seem to work. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) has a higher profile and both employers and workers themselves take responsibility for their development more seriously.

For example, handling medication, person centred approaches, risk assessment and risk management would all be developed from an existing common framework to include particular organisational ways of working and service user needs.

Flexible delivery

We can deliver learning in various flexible ways – for example one or two day short courses, or programmes of combined subjects. We are also looking into developing e-learning programmes in the near future in order to make training more accessible and cost effective.
