PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AWARD (PDA)
in
HEALTH & SOCIAL CARE SUPERVISION
The SQA Professional Development Award (PDA) in Health and Social Care Supervision at SCQF level 7 was created to meet the requirements of social service workers in a supervisory role.
This qualification is designed for employees who are in their first-line-management role and who provide supervision, support and guidance to other staff and wish to develop their knowledge skills and confidence in supervisory responsibilities and gain formal recognition.
The award comprises of two Higher National Units and provides 16 SCQF points at level 7.
Participants embarking on this award must have attained an SVQ level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent and be in an appropriate job role.
The award requires participants to attend 4 taught days followed by submission of 2 assignments within a total 12 week period. The next course will take place on 3, 10 and 17 October 2018.
The course is being held at ARC Scotland, Unit 11 Hardengreen Business Centre, Eskbank and the cost is £375 per person.
