Social care practitioners are often at the face of supporting people at the end of their life and need to be aware of the process of how to support individuals through this process.
This one day interactive course will consider the provision of palliative care and support for those approaching end of life.
This course can be an emotive course but is delivered in a sensitive and supportive manner.
This course will provide opportunity to explore:-
- The definition and principles of palliative care and how they apply to your role.
- The impact of pain and other common symptoms on the individual and family.
- How communication influences palliative care.
- The impact of loss, grief and bereavement on individuals, families and care providers.

from 9.00am – 4.00pm
