This one day course which is delivered in person will consider the provision of palliative care and support of individuals at end of their life.
This can be an emotive course but is delivered in a sensitive and supportive manner.
LEARNING OUTCOMES
During the delivery of the content course participants will have the opportunity to explore:
- The definition and principles of palliative care and how they apply to your role
- The impact of pain and other common symptoms on person and families
- How communication influences palliative care
- The impact of loss, grief and bereavement on patients, families, and care providers
