Loss and Bereavement

Social carers are often at the face of supporting people at the end of their life, but having a better understanding and greater awareness of the impact of bereavement on people they support, families, other carers and themselves, is a positive way of self-management.

This one day interactive course will explore this topic in detail.

Please be aware that this may be an emotive subject particularly for those who have experienced a recent loss.

This course will provide opportunity to:-

  • Explore loss and bereavement
  • Consider different models/theories of loss & bereavement
  • Share thoughts on how you can support someone who has experienced loss and bereavement
  • Reflect on bereavement and grief relating to the COVID pandemic.

The course will take place on Wednesday 18th May 2022

 from 9.00am – 4.00pm

at the Ross Room, Norton Park Conference Centre, 57 Albion Road, Edinburgh EH7 5QY

Cost per delegate £110.00 – Tea and Coffee provided.
