The Dumfries and Galloway Charter group has been meeting since September 2016. People meet to share examples of how they are putting the Charter for Involvement into practice. They identify barriers to leading the kind of lives they want and share views on how to tackle these barriers.
Hello and Welcome
About us
We are a group of people from across Dumfries and Galloway who get additional support. We meet up every couple of months.
At meetings we talk about how we have been using the Charter for Involvement and what we think should happen next.
We are part of the National Involvement Network.
“We want to be involved in Speaking up Groups”
What we do
We raise awareness of the Charter for Involvement and promote inclusion of people who get additional support. We give each other mutual support and learn from each other. We also review local and national policies and make recommendations. Some of us get involved in campaigning and some of us have delivered training and given presentations on the Charter for Involvement. Sometimes organisations ask us for advice.
How can I get involved
