Learning Outcomes:
This training introduces autism through the neurodiversity paradigm, reframing it as a natural form of human difference rather than a disorder or deficit. Participants explore key autistic experiences — including sensory processing, communication, executive function, emotional regulation, masking, and autonomy — and are supported to challenge common stereotypes and ableist assumptions.
The training focuses on understanding needs rather than managing behaviour, and on changing environments rather than “fixing” people, offering practical principles to support more inclusive and respectful practice.
